De'Anthony is a sixth grade student at Truesdell Elementary School in Washington, DC. He joined DC SCORES two years ago because "it's a fun activity". He enjoys the writing workshops and he loves the soccer practices and games. Last year he won a Commitment Award for his dedication in the classroom and on the soccer field. Through this award and a well-written essay, De'Anthony was selected to be a part of Jeremy's Heroes --- getting the chance to attend weeklong soccer camp at the American Soccer Academy. He says that camp was a lot of fun and the best part was the soccer moves that he learned. He says he's one of the best players on the Truesdell team because he can "cruyff and double scissor". One year after the camp, De'Anthony can still name all the counselors and friends that he made through Jeremy's Heroes.
